The Plight of the FUZZY Caterpillar

This last week we were walking home at night
and came across a HUGE fuzzy caterpillar
I commented to my companion how cute it was, and she said, "yeah, but if you touch it, it will poison you." That made me think: "It is kind of pointless to be a poisonous bug, right?
It's defense will not save it's own life at all, it will just make the animal that eats it sick/dead AFTER he eats it. Either way the bug will die."  But then, this thought came to me: "Some bugs have to die to warn the animals that that species of bug is poisonous. Some must die so that others may live.

Wow! Even down to the smallest creatures, SACRIFICE is something vital.
It’s like, Heavenly Father created everything so that we could remember
the greatest sacrifice of all: That of His Beloved Son.

That sacrifice made in Gethsemane provided a way for all of us to survive any attacks that may come from the enemy. The word "Gethsemane" means
"place where olives are pressed," or in other words, made into oil.
Many times when oil is mentioned in the scriptures, it is used in a healing manner. For example, in the story of the Good Samaritan, after he found the wounded man who was left to die on the side of the road, the Good Samaritan used olive oil
to bind his wounds. I don’t think it was coincidence that the Savior chose to go
to a grove of olive trees to offer a sacrifice that would allow all of mankind to be healed from wounds both physical and spiritual.

" And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations
of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled
which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death
which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities,
that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh,
that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people
according to their infirmities." (Alma 7:11-12, The Book of Mormon)

The Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ is much like any physical medication that we can take, if used properly--- it will offer relief and healing in a way that cannot be described.
I know that it is true. I know that He suffered so that we don’t have to
-------- if we will trust in Him and let Him help us.

Con amor, Hermana Jones
